ok, done. you can also do it yourself next time by editing the
PREROUTING & FORWARD chains in /etc/iptables/rules.v4 and then run
"sudo systemctl restart netfilter-persistent"
It is concerning to me that our dhcpd is storing
leases from more than
three days ago in:
/var/lib/dhcp/dhcpd.leases
The records actually stick around much longer in the systemd journal.
I agree we should not retain this data longer than maybe a couple
hours (useful for troubleshooting) and I support efforts at fixing
this. I'll try to think about the problem more when I set up our new
router.
