it's cozee and romantic here Monday next to the counterculture labs folks.
But how do I turn on the lights? I always forget!

It's been so long!
I'm going to show up a little early
- Got 1 person from the (dead) Virtual Reality /AR group at Noisebridge to
come (tentative) He's new in town and actually working on his own AR /
neurology headset
- Getting 2 people who are collaborating on AI to come, one of them
actually has a Quest Headset
- I have my own Augemnted reality projects related to light projection as
well. Think I might make an effort to bring one of the light projectors to
NB!
What have you been working on this week?

Here's my only project I'm interested in at SudoRoom!
https://sudoroom.org/wiki/User:Romyilano#Bestest_Most_Current_Things
Sorry, no time to listen to people make presentations on stuff going on
outside of sudoroom!
No things where I have to click on a link to see some kind of project. no
presentations! no powerpoints! No involvement in anything that is not light
projection! No multimedia room even, just don't got time for it.
My only involvement is going to be working on a hardware hack project and
learning. I'm bringing the VR and AR folks over, and maybe some AI Folks!

Hey,
I haven't been able to come by SudoRoom in a while! Next tUesday hardware
hack night I invited folks from the VR and AR community as well as some
cool AI folks to come by. I've been going to a lot of hackathons, and I
want to promote the "stay gold" vibe by inviting folks to a space.

I guess if you know anyone who has a VR headset especially, that would be
really cool! We can also check out the robot and update the wiki. I'm
debating bringin my light projector (actually the sudoroom light proejctor)
I'll check with jake but looking into installing something permanently in
the balcony.

Hey everyone,
Earlier today I've met with several Omni volunteers and touched on this
topic.
After meeting with volunteers I initiated a conversation with Trevor. Our
chat was mutual and it helped us understand the situation more.
*I have requested to Trevor that he temporarily stay away from Omni and
take that time to process and reflect on his reaction for assaulting Ian.*
*Trevor was receptive to leave and stay away from Omni for a one week
period begining today.*
*(April 6 - April 13)*
For clarity - this is a modified safer space ban and I did not include any
mediations nor did I felt the need to escort him out of Omni.
This ban was initiated as an individual Omni volunteer and not on behalf of
East Bay Food Not Bombs.
Thanks,
Toan

Hi everyone.
The Omni Commons, the building that sudo mesh co-owns with sudo room, Counter
Culture Labs, Food not Bombs and several other collectives just had a private
lender back out of a loan last minute and now it cannot pay its $120k property
taxes due tomorrow.
If anyone is willing to lend us $120k, even if it's for just three months
until we to sort out another loan, please contact me. This needs to happen
before tomorrow at 4 pm pacific time.
The loan would be secured by the building as a second mortgage so it should be
fairly low risk.

I don’t know if we could call this marketing, but there are a lot of private venture funded social spaces popping up. Being biased I find ours is much more genuine and interesting.
Rethinking how we can talk about Sudoroom online into other people as a cool third space

I just sent a notice to the SF shut up and write group. Our space would be
ideal for this kind of event!
I can also note that we have tons of food in walking distance nearby!
I'm actually pretty busy this month so this wouldn't start for a while, but
let's get the ball rolling
---
Hey folks - at the SudoRoom hackerspace in Oakland Temescal (next to the
MacArthur BART) we have a lot of creative events. I'd be interested in
hosting an in-person shut up and write alongside an online event. We have
the gear to share to televise the live space.
It's a big creative hackerspace with a sewing / materials workshop
downstairs. There are also robots and electronics equipment as well.
Thursdays, Sundays and Fridays are open

Hi,
I'm a member at Sequoia Fabrica <https://sequoiafabrica.org/>. We recently
opened up our space and I wanted to reach out to see if you have any
projects you are planning to submit for OpenSauce <https://opensauce.com/>
this year. We're looking to partner with Sudo Room if you need any
additional help or resources.
Let us know if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Brandon Haskell
I discovered that there are "hackerspaces for writers" in San Francisco
https://www.pagestreet.org
I go to a lot of "Shut up and Write" events - wouldn't it be cool to bring
the shut up and write folks to SudoRoom?
I'll get on top of this once I get a job, prioritizing coding interviews
and don't have much time lately
