The vending machine now provides some more feedback after money is put in.
Source code associated with my contribution is here. I haven't documented
the other components of the vending machine.

Based on the implementation details, it appears to me that
the bill acceptor is in fact plugged into one board (Arduino Leonardo)
that is connected by serial to another board (Raspberry Pi). Why is
the former board used at all? That is, why is the bill acceptor not
plugged directly into the latter board?
i'm looking for those outlet covers that host a single RJ45 socket, i need one
now but eventually about five.
Are there any in sudomesh or in one of our stuff bins?
you know, the rectangular outlet cover with a single rectangular hole, and you
snap in the RJ45 socket after getting the cat5 wires onto the back of it?
I have the sockets already (plenty of them) I just need the single-hole covers.
i'm not cheap, i just don't like buying stuff if it's already laying around.
thank you

# Covid safety info for showing up in person
Some of us can meet in person. I can't find any specific guidance for
hackerspaces. The closest is probably the guidance for "Places of worship":
https://files.covid19.ca.gov/pdf/guidance-places-of-worship--en.pdf
According to this we can meet at 50% capacity. The room's capacity as per
fire inspection is 49 people max and we share the space with CCL so that's
12 people for sudo room. I'm just gonna declare that we probably won't have
that many people showing up so we don't need to have people announce if
they are planning to show. If you show up and there are already more than
12 people then you should wait outside and let us know and we can
coordinate with people in CCL to ensure we don't exceed the 25 person room
capacity.
Everyone will need to wear a face covering even if you are fully
vaccinated. Don't bring in any food, though a personal beverage is ok.
There is a non-contact thermometer mounted by the entrance to CCL, please
use it. Do no show up if you or someone you have been in contact with has
had symptoms in the past 14 days.
If you have hand sanitizer or electronics friendly disinfectant spray (e.g.
70% or higher isopropanol) then please some.
Your access cards to Omni may have been deactivated. We will be monitoring
IRC and of course the jitsi call if you need us to open the door for you.
We can re-activate people's cards after the meeting.

150m is the range, yes.
So comparable range, but not accuracy (FARO's 1mm vs Livox's centimeters).
The Livox is probably way easier to drag up a climbing route. So just
different applications.
