Hi everyone! Our first SF LocalWiki editathon at Double Union in August was
fun, so let's do another one on Sunday afternoon from 4-6 pm or so (we
could extend it a little earlier or later if that's easier for anyone).
Here's a blog post with details about how to visit the space, which is a
few blocks from the 16th Street BART station:

The second part of the post proposes a theme - feminist, women-centered,
queer-centered, and/or trans-centered spaces and history in San Francisco.
It includes a bunch of links to local history materials that I've been
excited about. The area around 16th & Valencia is really rich in
interesting stories, and it makes a lot of sense for Double Union to help
bring them out and share them. :)
A related thing I've been doing is sending article links to the Mission
Mission neighborhood blog, which sometimes publishes them:

This shares the information with more people (yay!), and sometimes you get

Remember how a few weeks ago we all got together to shoot a video? Well,
the good news is it's almost done! But before we can publish our
Kickstarter/Indiegogo/whatever campaign, we've gotta rustle up some perks
and rewards for our contributors. What does that mean? Well, you know how

agree with hep, it looks pretty alienating. Let's have a robot-themed

Hi friends,
The Naomi Klein event is happening this Sunday morning at 10am.
I am going to spend as much time as I have tomorrow (Saturday) cleaning up
the ballroom and doing any little touch up jobs that I can.
If anyone is around I would greatly appreciate your help!
Things that need to get done:
- Remove from windows and store sound proofing baffles (these can probably
go into the ticket booth room - extra points if you feel like painting them
black!)
- Putting away tools on the stage - I organized these several weeks ago and
look at them! (cry!!!)
- Moving all sound equipment / speakers from stage - anyone know who this
stuff belongs to? If you can direct me, I will contact them!
- Moving punching bag - is this meant to live in the ballroom? Can we
identify a place to store it during events? Maybe the ticket booth room?
- General sweeping / dusting / cleaning
