is there an easy way for people to make a one-time donation to sudoroom
using a credit card?
I only see a link to gittip on the main page, which is a great thing but
WAY too complicated for people making a one-time donation, especially if
they don't want to link their social media to donating to a "hackerspace".
I want to do some activities at Hardware Hacking Tuesdays where people pay
for materials, but i don't know how to accept donations on behalf of
sudoroom with a credit card.
Also i think it would benefit us to have that functionality right there on
the website.

Highly recommend that you guys use Stripe to do this. It's *really* easy
and it's quite possible that they'll hook you up with a non-profit
discount on your first $amount of processing fees.
We recently did this @ Noisebridge
https://github.com/patrickod/noisebridge-donate for the hastily put together
rails application that we made for it.
You can also use Square to accept CC donations in person. You setup a
Square org and add "employees" who can accept payments on behalf of the
main account. The fees are in the same ballbark as Stripe's. They'll
send you bunch of CC readers if you ask them.

I like to make one-time donations by paying some of Sudo Room's bills.
When Omni sends invoices, anyone can pay all or part of the invoice
online using a credit card.

I actually long ago did set up a Stripe account, but ran into some bugs
with the wordpress plugin. Rhodey offered to help and I flaked on him.
