Hello Patrik, Thank you for reaching out. If you click on "the Barn" in my previous email it takes you to a zoomed in google map earth shot of the building. Its the small storage building behind what was the rec center and the old Mosswood residence, close to the amphitheater. Due to the fire I can not access it to take pictures but I can measure it in google maps to show its approximately 1200 sq ft. I've been in it once when I was scouring for art supplies for children't art program I ran at Mosswood over the summer and I do know there is an upstairs loft that covers have the space. Lets say conservatively we have 1700 sq ft of floor space. I do not recall plumbing and it probably didn't need it as there was restroom facilities right next door till they burned to a crisp. I will reach out to the Mosswood staff and request building plans if they are available and ask them to snap lots of pictures of existing equipment and structures. I can post them here when they become available. If you just love love love being on mailing list, I have started a google group to post ideas and and world domination. Erin already mentioned the makerspace to DPW and they grumbled and said no. Erin says we should ignore this and I agree. Any DPW in any city in the world's main job is to say no, even if it doesn't draw from their resources because from their point of view any changes to anything single thing, even the changing of the wind, effects their resources. DPW isn't tasked on building a community, we are, so froward we march. If you have any suggestions on how to best utilize our time till we can gain access to the Barn, I'm open to suggestions.
