Hi all,
It might be time to look for alternatives to the sudo-humans software that
both CCL and sudo room depend on for signing up and tracking members.
Sudo-humans <https://github.com/sudoroom/sudo-humans> is still missing some
very basic must-have features (like notifying anyone that someone's credit
card is bouncing, or that a new member signed up!), and the code seems
fairly unmaintainable now that the initial author has left...
I've seen both CiviCRM <https://civicrm.org/>and Odoo
<https://github.com/odoo/odoo> suggested as well-developed and
well-maintained Open Source solutions. Several of the hackerspaces in the
Nation of Makers network seemed to be switching towards Odoo, for example.
Does anyone have experience with CiviCRM, or Oboo, or want to help us
explore our best options? Please pitch in, and help us decide! It would be
great if CCL and Sudo could move together to a new platform.
Here's some resources that may be useful:

Hi,
Would you be interested in promoting and/or seeking new members for Omni
Commons?
On Thursday evening, April 19th the East Bay Burners are hosting an
event in Uptown Oakland to connect Burning Man builders & crafters to
local Makerspaces and schools like yours.
We expect to get around 120 attendees. The event for free to both you
and our community of Burners.
The format will be a very casual meet and greet. As there will be a bevy
of folks approaching you with questions, do bring a notepad to capture
names and contact info, you never know what great potential members and
resource may show up!
If you are interested to participate please let me know soon as space is
limited!

Hello Sudo Room,
- I recently donated a box with about ~30-40 3 inch, general construction,
screws (self drilling tips).
- Donating about ~20-30 1 1/2-2 1/2 inch screws (MIXED).
- A cheap mini screw driver set (for computer sized work).
- Few miscellaneous sockets (no wrench)
- A hose with a hand pump the line.
- Couple of medium trash bags.
- A bunch of washers (fender as well), and lock washers.
- Angle grinding discs (we have quite a few), angle grinder is online.
- A few regular sized screwdrivers
- Wound and Burn Dressing (for the first aid in the bathroom).
- One Natural Light can of beer.
- 2 botttles of hand soap.
- And other stuff.
If the Omni in General needs the 3 inch screws (recommended for framing
2x4s) they are there.
Dropping tonight.

Thanks

i brought in a new bandsaw for sudoroom. it's free-standing and very awesome.
It can cut the fuck through anything you put in there, be careful.
i'm going to get some metal-cutting blades for it, for now it has a coarse
wood-cutting blade.
here's the "manual" for it if we need it, uploaded to the wiki. i don't know
how to make a wiki page for it and reference the file, maybe you can do that.
