Hey Sudo!
We¹re having a post-new-roof clean-up party! Friday, Jan 3 starting ~11AM to
5pm-ish.
Now that the roof is fixed and SudoRoom is dry, it¹s time to clean up!
The roof replacement generated A LOT of stuff that fell and coated the
horizontal surfaces that weren¹t under a tarp.
There will be snacks, drinks, fun and breaks! If you can chip in funds,
we'll get a take-out.
There will be shop vacs with hepa filters, ladders and brushes. We¹ll have
some surgical masks.
If you have a respirator, it would be a good idea to bring it.
The goal is to clean up as much as we can and not to burn-out.There will be
other clean-up days.
Start at the higher shelves then clean the workbenches. If time, vacuum or
broom the floors.
Fans will be running to move air and the shop filter will be on.
Call/text Kent @ 510-504-0634.
Hope to see you there! -Eric, Kent and Raelyn
Thanks to Virginia for filing the report on the weird fire alarm hum in the
garage.
Last night I went from the hum of the garage to check my mail and there was
a weird eerie hum on the first floor near the mailboxes.
Are folks in the townhouses ok? It's super loud!

if anyone has a Windows 7 CD or DVD around that looks good enough to try,
someone needs it.

Some new people are going to be showing up and could use a host. They just
want to see the space and discuss robotics?
Saturday 3PM to 5PM
I will go if I can, but i have other plans that may prevent me from attending.

I am exploring this field as a total noob and would love to do a today I
learned session.
This can also be related to "AI" in a cheesy way.
- in person only - I am inclined not to ever do a remote/ online session
though (maybe later, many years from now).

Hi Y’all,
I am wanting to learn about 3-D printing and try to print something. I saw online that Tuesday night is the night people work with the 3-D printers, but I don't see it in the calendar. Is tonight a good night to come by for this?
Thanks,
Susala

Hi everyone,
We are short on being able to pay rent this month. We need at least $630.50
by the 25th (this Saturday)!
Our rent payment this month (and for the rest of the year) is $2380.50.
Utilities are about $125/month. And we have only $1875 in the bank right
now.
In the immediate term, we need people to either up their monthly dues or do
a one time payment. Here's how you donate: https://sudoroom.org/donate/
So we aren't in this situation again, also please reach out if you want to
join grant writing efforts. There's a few of us who have expressed interest
but there's been no work done here of late, to my understanding. Since
member dues have not been enough to cover rent, we have relied on grant
money to get by. But our last grant from StopWaste has been all used up now.
Paige
this is great!

We're all listeners of the Linux Unplugged <https://linuxunplugged.com/>
podcast which is hosting listening parties all over the world on 2/2. We
are gathering in person for the first time. I don't know any of the other
attendees personally. So far 6 folks have RSVP'd. We would really just need
a space where we could set up a laptop and speakers, and would bring all
our own gear.
