Hi Hol,
I can't vouch that it's the same exact model, but that's about what it looks
like. Amazing how it always gives people that smile!
If nobody buys it, then we'd let it go to where ever would have the most use for it
(and maybe pay some delivery gas). Let me know what you think.

Hi Gideon,
This one?

I don't know if you'd find anyone interested in buying this machine at sudo room,
but if you need to get rid of it we would definitely put the components to creative
re-use. Sensory deprivation chamber in the sound room, anyone??? Looks pretty awesome.
Cheers,
Hol

Hello, I was asked to post this message about a bunch of possible parts here by a member.
Let me know if anyone finds this useful.
My name is Gideon Weisberg, and work I with the non-profit Riekes Center in Menlo Park
(mentoring in sports, fitness, the arts, music, and nature awareness). Years ago (10?) we
were given a Bod-Pod to allow the fitness department to offer a (then) state-of-the-art
body assessment system to low-income students, as well as the other athletes who train at
our center.
While at the time this version of the Bod-Pod system ran about $50,000, it is now
obsolete. It likely has lots of useful parts for a tinkering lab. I am looking for ways to
find a new home for the system, and am especially interested in helping any useful parts
find their way into innovative reuse or educational programs (or at least becomes
somebody's weird furniture/studio prop).
Any proceeds from selling this system will go directly into our programs (the first $750 I
can raise will be buying new tires for our passenger van). The Bod Pod (with it's
computer station, manual, and calibration/maintenance records) can be delivered within the
Bay Area.
I am open to thoughts and suggestions regarding the ultimate fate of this devise. I
don't want it to go in a land-fill.
Thank you for your consideration,
Gideon Weisberg
