Hand in glove with the Eurocentric world view is a presumed capacity for order and rationality. Steeped in that hegemonic cultural norm, you mistake your own “feelings” as objective logic, and imbued with a sense of infallible reason and capacity to bring order, you cannot stop yourselves from presuming to be the adults in the room.
