almost all the monitors we have go to a VGA connector. most computers
have one still, except macs which require an adaptor.
the large iMac can be used as a monitor with macs (and maybe other
computers) which have a "thunderbolt" port.
the large screen monitor has an HDMI port and many modern PCs (and some
macs?) have an hdmi port. we can put hdmi cords on other monitors that
have hdmi or DVI ports (can easily adapt DVI to hdmi)
i think we should set up the big screen on the wall to be a remotely
controllable computer, so ppl can play programming vids on it.

Hey now that we are preparing for cyberwizard, and
there are people learning, I'd like to point out that
the monitors long the wall are underutizlied.
we have about 12-15 ... I'll write a blog post about this with instructions. It seems
really common sense
but isn't always. (unless someone else does!)
a 2nd monitor is great for people who are learning to code, especially if they have an
IDE open and are
using videos.
Guests and members visiting sudoroom should bring special outlets for their computers.
I'm unsure what
chrome or linux folks use - I have a mac so I have my own setup.
