Good news!
Starting next week (9/4), the trash (brown) and compost (green) bins
will be picked up by Waste Management twice a week on Tuesdays and
Fridays. I haven't added an additional recycling pick up yet, so blue
bin pickup remains on Wednesday.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe Phil/FNB have usually been the
ones putting trash cans out on the sidewalk for pickup. Can other
individuals or collectives assume responsibility for one of these trash
days so that the additional work isn't falling on one person/group? In
general, if you are around on the afternoon/evening before a pick up,
please see if you can help with this task.
Please continue to sort your trash and put move it to the correct bin in
the trash room. Events that generate trash as still required to take it
away at the end of the event.
