seem to square with the way Almaz consistently condescends to the omni

obfuscate when she gets called out. I don't attend the Omni meetings so
maybe it's different live but my $.02 would be for sudo room to block
this proposal and maintain focus on the fact that this collective has
not held up its side of the financial or mutual respect dimensions
agreed to as condition of membership iirc, and propose a change in
membership status for GCEA if needed.
Why do you care what their rent is? They're not rolling in money or
profiting from their space, and are offering to pay as much as they're
able, which is exactly in the spirit of Omni Commons. More
transparency, upfront warnings and honesty about their ability to pay,
is exactly what the finance committee asked of them, and that's what
this is. We're not in the business of squeezing blood from stones.
This is a proposal from GCEA and BAPS, not just Almaz.
If you want to kick GCEA out as a member collective, I suggest making
a new proposal rather than just blocking their attempt to partially
share a room in the meantime. Saying "I don't like you, therefore I
vote to make your life miserable" will inevitably lead to ongoing pain
and drama, and is just not a good strategy for building community or
getting what you want.
