I've been having such a great time with hardware hacking night and sudoroom in
general. \
For my light projection project I realized that it's pretty crucial for me to learn
Blender. Blender is open source too! But it's such a pain in the ass. Even though
it's gross software, I've been powering through Blender the past few nights at
SudoRoom in order to master it.
It's such a drag though! I'm thinking of organizing a "getting over the
Blender hump" show and tell. We could show what project we aspire to do, what we
conquered this week, and then give each other tips on our struggles.
For me, I'm hoping to master blender so that I can do animations of characters and
eventually video projection for my light projection projects!
It's been hard staying course the past few weeks. There are so many great ideas, green
people, things people think would be a good idea for you to do. If you do whatever people
want you to do then you will never make progress though! especially if the direction is
wrong.
