I often find that the tall skinny ones are just
too dammed skinny. Sudo
now just has these trunks all stacked on top of one another that can be
opened and closed and a padlock can be added. It's doesn't have to be
iso9000 compliant "lockers" to be considered a locker.

What size lockers would be most useful for
people? I've mostly been
looking out for the 1-cubic-foot versions. The taller lockers tend to be
designed to hang up clothing, which isn't quite as useful for us. But they
could be subdivided with internal shelving.
Here's one CL posting for a 2-tier set of eight 3ft high lockers for
$120:

I could easily imagine a few walls in the basement (or for sudo and CCL,
along the long graffitti wall) covered with lockers, with a clear price
list for different sizes and shapes. Maybe charge $5/mo for the cubic foot
version, $12/mo for the 3ft ones, and $20 for a full height one? We'd need
to set up some payment system to manage them though - including cutting off
unauthorized locks, emptying abandoned lockers, and everything else that
comes with that...
Suitable lockers on CraigsList can be found at very affordable rates
(with some patience anyway), but they do require a truck to move...

I am not so much about video based security as I
am wanting to see more
"lockup" space for members. Sudo has added these nice larger (some of them
lockable if members bring a lock) containers in their space. I like this.
They are larger and able to store a more reasonable sized space for
"hackers". I know this is one a lot of other peoples radar as well, I just
wanted to say that I care about it and have my eye out for more of these
kinds of stackable secure storage solutions.
