I hate being frozen a t a computer but it’s necessary for flow state . Is there a way to

computer desk - no internet but it would be nice to do programming on top of a remote
mountain away from noise and ads
Hmm, I usually want to have separation between tech time and outdoor time, but the general
notion of not being stuck at a computer unless it’s necessary is super appealing!
In an attempt to have more “tech hygiene”, I have been grabbing my e-reader or paper
notebook when I want to be in a flow for a while. I can send pdfs or html articles to the
reader from my phone, so that’s increasingly just how I read stuff. This way I can be up
and about without being tempted to ruin my flow with social network stuff, email, slack,
etc.
I wonder if there are other ways to carve out more capabilities from “laptop” or
“smartphone". My research advisor used to print out my code and mark it up with red
pen — I could do that on the go, or on a mountain. Would there be a way to write programs
in blue pen and scan them back in? Maybe something immersive, interactive, like a pen
plotter that also scans what you/it wrote with a high-res webcam? I could even do email
via printer/plotter/scanner — x out to delete, check to mark as read, or draw a star to
follow up.
A lot of those things (including e-reader) seem paper or paper adjacent. I wonder if
that’s a useful categorization: paper-like things vs. networked-interactive things?
Being away from noise and ads (a form of noise) is also interesting. I’ve thought about
setting up a desktop at my house that is totally air gapped from the internet. Doing that
at sudo-room could be better, because then you'd be air gapped but together.
