Does anybody have experience with XMPP programming, in particular XEP
0045? I've got some questions about queries using this functionality,
and my experiments are providing data but nothing I've been able to
use to implement what I need.

Hey all,
Whomever is bottomlining big or big-ish events at the space, needs to check
on the bathrooms during the event, and check on them after the event, and
if they are by some chance trashed, clean them.
Apparently the TP is sometimes running out during big events, causing
people to use paper towels or napkins or other things, which then clog the
toilets, which makes George really mad.
Specifically, this apparently happened during the Spied Upon event which I
bottomlined. Even though I cleaned the common area and took out the garbage
etc before and after, I neglected to check on the state of the bathrooms
(so that is totally on me).
What we need to start doing in my opinion is having some extra TP on hand
so we can pre-stock the bathrooms before large gatherings, so it does not
run out.
I also think if any one of us notices the bathrooms are messed up or out of
supplies, we should also tell the bottomliner of the event, or fix it
ourselves.
This is especially important to remember at the end of the night when
everyone is pooped and ready to head home: If you bottomline, check on the
bathrooms before you leave..
Best,
David

Founded in 1979 by Seth Tobocman and Peter Kuper,* World War 3
Illustrated *magazine is a labor of love run by a collective of artists
(both first-timers and established professionals) and political activists
working with the unified goal of creating a home for political comics,
graphics, and stirring personal stories. *World War 3 Illustrated* isn't
about a war that may happen; it's about the ongoing wars being waged around
the world and on our very own doorsteps. *The confrontational comics
published in WW3 Illustrated shine a little reality on the fantasy world of
the American kleptocracy and have inspired the developing popularity and
recognition of comics as a respected art form.*
With the radical artists at* World War 3 Illustrated*, we're publishing a
320-page, full-color, hardcover retrospective exhibition of the magazine
that's arranged thematically, including housing rights, feminism,
environmental issues, religion, police brutality, globalization, depictions
of conflicts from the Middle East to the Midwest, and more.
And we need your help! Pre-order your copy
today.<http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?f=001xSUy8c02kxOkHezo3gPwhS6X073IlTHNg_eXjUzkYh6C…>
Amazing rewards and "Thank You" gifts include the book itself, signed
editions of the anthology, rare back issues of the magazine, beautiful
originals and limited prints from* World War 3 Illustrated * artists (see
just a few examples above), Friends of PM memberships (6 month, 1 year, 2
year, and 10 year options), tons of PM gear, and more. Help us support
important and revolutionary voices and visions of many artists, activists,
and storytellers!
"This book needs a warning label: DANGER! CONTENTS UNDER PRESSURE: OPEN AT
YOUR OWN RISK! It's a punch in the gut and a kick in the ass, an incitement
to pay attention and to be astonished, and then to get up and act out.*
World War 3 *is an invitation to a revolution."
*----Bill Ayers, activist, educator, co-founder of the Weather Underground
and author of Public Enemy: Confessions of an American Dissident, from his
introduction.*

Hey everyone,
I'm sorry I can't be at the meeting tonight to announce this in person, but
a friend and I will be hosting a learning plan workshop next Tuesday. The
workshop will offer space to reflect on what you want to learn and why you
want to learn it, as well as provide time to set a clear intention for
these next few months.
The hosts are part of the Open Masters
community<http://www.openmasters.org/about/>,
a global network of learning cooperatives, providing structure,
accountability and community for self-directed learners. An Open Masters
group is getting started in San Francisco this spring, and we're hoping to
use this workshop to start generating interest in an east-bay based
learning cooperative.
I know Sudoroom is filled with lifelong learners, working on incredible
projects, and we hope this will be helpful to anyone who wants to add some
intention and structure to their learning. Feel free to get in touch if you
have any questions. Hope to see some of you there!

fundraiser for POD (points of distribution) syringe exchange harm reduction
group:
Points of Distribution is an organization that provides HIV prevention and
other services to hard-to-reach drug users and their friends and family in
Oakland and San Francisco. The organization is a volunteer-run coop based
the principles of workplace democracy and harm reduction. POD currently
provides street-outreach based syringe provision primarily to homeless
folks in both San Francisco and Oakland. In the last year we provided about
a quarter of a million syringes and ancillary services through about 3800
unique client contacts. Funding was recently cut and they desperately need
fundraising to stay running.
Hi everyone,
We've been working with the library to plan a bunch of events at different
branches this spring starting on March 22nd.
Additionally, our next regular bi-weekly meetup is tomorrow night at Sudo
Room <http://oaklandwiki.org/sudo_room> at 7PM.
More info on tomorrow's event and details for all the spring events can be
found at http://oaklandwiki.org/Oakland_Wiki_Events.
Best,
Marina
PS - If you're interested in having a LocalWiki but you don't live in
Oakland (or you know someone else who might want to start a LocalWiki in
their community), please let me know. LocalWiki is recruiting new
communities for our new platform and inviting people to participate now.
