Over the years I have removed 30 contractor bags of electronic waste from sudo room.
Sudo is now once again full, with every table obscured by it.
I’ve tried to say that electronics donations are great, as long as we have intention for what to do with them, a place for the stuff we want, and a process for immediately getting rid of what we don’t want. But, this is not what we are experiencing.
I’m no longer strong enough to keep cleaning up, and some of the e-waste that shows up is genuinely dangerous, like a UV laser that appears to have given me vascular tumors.
Appear benign, but, punching a hole in my genome has really kicked my survival instinct into high gear and I don’t want anything to do with e waste anymore.
We need a new plan…

Hey all,
I want to make JS Thursdays a thing again for Sudoroom. Could folks help me
to get the word out and/or help me run it? I figure I'll go to the space
each Thurs evening and be available virtually for people who can't be there
in person. The intention of this will be to help people who are learning
JavaScript or working on some JS project that they'd like help with. If
anyone has tips or can assist in any way I'd appreciate it!

I have been serving as sudoroom's "delegate" to the Omni Commons delegate's
meetings which happen on the first and third Thursdays of each month.

since Sudoroom meetings have been sparsely attended and informal, I have had to
represent our position on issues in an ad-hoc way based on what I thought we
would want if we had discussed things as a collective. This is not the way it
should be, but Omni needs to keep functioning even though Sudoroom is not
running at full speed yet.
If you are part of sudoroom, please come to meetings, and help spread the word
before meetings, so that more people show up. Meetings will need a facilitator
at least, and someone will have to take notes onto the wiki. If you want a

there's mention of the fact that we don't publicly post our meeting scratchpad

have to deal with that (hopefully).
The emails that go out every week to remind us all about the meeting will
contain the link to the video chat, which will probably be the same thing we've
been using for the telescreen. So ideally, you join the meeting from your
computer (or in person at sudoroom) so that you can have the chat open as well
as a window where you're looking at the notes (or editing them) to follow
what's going on.
