This artist is visiting town and wanted to know if he could speak at Sudo Room or give away any art. I told him that we don't have anyone dedicated to organizing this kind of event, but that I'd ask if anyone wants to. I am wondering if your space would want to be part of a project I've been Working on. https://jaredarmandosofoifa.com/the-ocean-gives/ This is my largest painting to date. It spans roughly four feet by five feet. I want to give it away in a raffle to anyone that shares a smile. This year being in a position of comfort, it pained me greatly to see everyone around me struggling with the rising costs of everything. Being from Guatemala I have a deep knowledge of plants and how to cultivate them. I volunteered my time at a giant garden in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, operated by the local food bank. I realized that I was focusing on the wrong things, while it was great to feed people, as a painter I couldn't stand by and not feed their souls. Given that fine Art is mostly out of reach from the working class, I decided that I would rather "sell" my painting for smiles. I want to provide people struggling for survival, to have some kind of hope. In our politicized world it is hard to be kind to others and not guarded. What we need is community and unity. I feel like this project gets at the core of what future artists will provide the world. If you would like I can provide files for ready-to-print media including a poster with a QR code and printable raffle tickets from anyone that does not have a 'smart' telephone. As well as the poem about the painting. I will be in the Bay Area during Nov.8th-Nov.23rd promoting my Art and the seven works of writing I completed during COVID lockdowns in Canada, while also working on my stand-up comedy and music at any open mics I can get into. I would be happy to give a brief Artists talk outlining the project and the future role of Artists as we fight to stay relevant in a world where AI threatens all our livelihoods. Attached are some media provided to me from the Saskatoon food bank while my painting was in their space. It's not required, but as a working Artist I would greatly appreciate any honorarium (if your organization can afford it) to help me with my travel expenses and shipping cost for the painting. Update on Foreclosure

Hello SUDO Community, I have an update on the foreclosure, I have attached a letter from CAST, which also summarizes all of the updates. Basically Mulberry has told us: 1. X organization intends to pay off Mulberry Trusts’s loan to Omni Commons of approximately $873,973.00 2. Here is a $10,000 non-refundable deposit to show we are serious. 3. Attach a copy of Omni's Board Resolution noting the agreement between Omni and the organization paying off the loan. 4. If we do not hear from you by Tuesday, May 14th at 12pm, we will direct the foreclosure trustee to file the paperwork. CAST appears to be willing to work with us even if the foreclosure is filed. But we also have the option to comply with Mulberry's requirements and fundraise to purchase the building with funding from another source within the 1 week timeframe. We will likely be entertaining proposals from Peoples Programs and City In Motion at tomorrow's board meeting. Please let me know if you have any questions, or ideas or insights. Best William > I’m sorry for the delay on this. It turns out that the LOI should be submitted by CAST to Omni Commons. We will turn around and submit this for consideration by Omi Commons. I wanted to highlight a few things: - I believe we have till Sunday evening or early Monday morning to share a signed LOI for purchase to the Trust. This is to be accompanied by a $10,000 check. We then have 24 additional hours to submit the full payment to the Trust at which time the title is released to Omni Commons. - If this timing cannot be met, the foreclosure action will be undertaken and there is 90 days to pay down the loan. The clock would essentially start on Tuesday the 14th. CAST has the ability to pay $10,000 for the deposit but not the balance within 24 hours after that. Given this reality, we will let the Trust know of our plans to pursue an LOI with Omni Commons and the need for additional time to secure the balance of funds. This assumes that they advance to foreclose. - CAST would like to sign an LOI with Omni Commons as quickly as possible so we can pursue funding to meet the 90 day foreclosure window. We will not negotiate to assemble a partnership for purchase. We encourage Omni Commons to explore all options. - People’s Program and City In Motion have both expressed interest and have reached out to CAST. I will respond to both and encourage them to speak with Omni Commons directly. - We recommend that you determine, separate from CAST, if their offers are viable and you wish to sell the building to either of them. We don’t want to hold you up if you are able and prefer to resolve the matter immediately.

Hackable door lock recommendations

I’ve been using a home made electric door lock for years, it’s got that exposed wires delight ♥️ I’m looking for an actually reliable electric door lock that I can reasonably easily hack to use my own software or replace the microcontroller entirely. Do any of you have a recommendation?

Re: Need funds for May Mulberry mortgage payment

It is very crucial we pay our mortgage payment, especially given that Mulberry is still deliberating whether or not to foreclose on us. Trump Satire

Hi All, I've written a Donald Trump satire, and would like to get it out into the public as quickly as possible for obvious reasons. It's an update of a previous version that I self-published on Amazon (KDP). Below are reviews from that book (it's been updated). I also included a copy of the cover. The work is ostensibly a briefing and guide book written for DJT by staff for when he becomes the president again in 2025. I've been a professional comedian and comedy-writer, but I'm a technical moron and can't figure out how to put this book up on a website, or on Substack.
