Can anyone recommend a resin that I could use to replace a glass lampshade?

Hey everyone! I have an ornate lamp, where the lights are all inside glass flowers, and a few of them broke. I'd like to replace them by making a silicone mold of one of the intact ones and then casting it in resin. Making the mold seems straightforward, but I've never actually cast resin before, and I'm looking for advice on what resin to use. The bulbs are halogen bulbs, so they get fairly hot, and the lamps are pretty close. I'm guessing that if the resin can withstand 200 F they should be fine. Does anyone know whether this is feasible? Can anyone recommend a resin that is clearish and can withstand moderately high heat for long periods of time? Here are some pictures. I saw Juliana build a cool twitterbot!The women's programming night looks like it's going really well. Andrew has a cool resin sculpture. Would love to see it! Me, I met some cool people at SudoRoom during hardware hack night. we chatted about Blender and I got to see some other software for light projections, but I'm moving on to a phase where I can create my own 3D models, hopefully to print them out and also animate them. I also started on doing world building in Blender using historical artifacts. There are a lot of 3D scans of historical objects that you can download for free from SketchFab https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/combination-padlock-756916ba62b7489294fc9c8… SketchFab has a post on all the open access eminent domain 3D models they have been putting up. https://sketchfab.com/blogs/community/sketchfab-launches-public-domain-dedi… I'm excited about NYC next week! I'm going to be hanging out with Mitch who's in town for the HOPE conference. For fundraising at SudoRoom - so Far I'm thinking the coworking idea, and the study space for UC Berkeley students sounds like a good run. I guess I should drop in on a meeting one of these days!

I got totally distracted with other stuff but now I'm back on track. There is now an open call to artists at the Downtown SF Partnership! https://www.downtownsf.org/events/letsglowsf-2022/ Submissions are due on August 20, 2022 and"Artists’ work will be shown on 1 of 4 buildings that will be projector mapped for 10 evenings from December 2nd – 12th, 2022." And when I do my submissions I will mention SudoRoom all the way - who knows, one of them might get in! Tonight I'll be hosting Sudoroom for those who want to come hack on whatever in person, or through telepresence (see the last link in this email) ALSO NOW FEATURING: SoftWEAR hacking too: most Tuesday evenings the sewing area at Omni Commons (in the basement) is also active so bring your fabric and textile projects and technical repairs; we've got heavy duty and serger sewing machines available. You’re also welcome to bring your own machine to have it checked out and tuned up for tip-top operation or to just sew alongside others. Remember that Omni Commons and Sudoroom policy is presently that EVERYONE MUST WEAR A MASK AT ALL TIMES INSIDE THE BUILDING. Blender is progressing nicely

My blender tutorials are progressing nicely. It was worth it to invest the time in only doing blender tutorials - all the other activity has been a big bunch of distractions. The nice thing is that I’m also up to the point of doing video editing and animations so that’s the big block I had to jump into light projections and augmented reality 🤔 I guess tonight I’ll continue my blender tutorials and erect a “hey we’re learning blender” Project page on SudoRoom !
