I mentioned the problem in the #kicad irc channel (on Freenode) and they
said they'd ping the person who runs the web server.
in the meantime, if you're running macOS you can download the latest .DMG
file from here:
http://downloads.kicad-pcb.org/osx/
and if you're running linux, just use this script (warning, it will take a
couple of hours to download the source code and dependancies, and compile
everything from scratch, but you'll have the latest commit of KiCAD)

use KiCAD, a Free and Open Source Software project, being improved
constantly. on a tuesday night at Sudo i can show you it. it's installed
on the Pair Programming station.
+1 for KiCAD. It is an awesome tool, is actively being developed and
is libre software.

Hi.
I'm trying to write up an EAGLE board layout and failing miserably. I'm
using the freeware
EAGLE suite for the mac. Dunno if that's making my life harder than usual
or not, but does
anyone have recommendations for good EAGLE tools and/or willing to help me
figure out how to
work this thing?
