Hey Sudo Room!
Sorry for dropping the ball on organizing this - travel, conferences, and
work got in the way. I and a small group (currently 3 people) plan on
meeting at Sudo Room *Sunday at 6:30* to have an informal study group for
the Crypto I class. We will be talking about the current material, the
problem set, and the assignment.
If you are taking the course now, please join us! If you are not, or are
unsure if you want to continue, remember that the first problem set is* due
on Monday*, so you still have time!!
If it goes well, or there is sufficient interest expressed on the list, we
will consider making it a regular event and putting it on the calendar.
April Glaser has kindly offered to help us with that, if we decide to do so.

Is there a day of the week/weekend daytime that you have in mind? Maybe
we can put out a poll on the list for what day would work best for folks
who are interested. I'm sure many would dig this.

It will be a great thing if something can come together.
I feel like not very many people realize that Dan Boneh's course is
structured as pretty broad survey so you can dip in in the middle and get
something out of it.

There was once a crypto study group maybe a year
and a half ago at the
old sudo. It was well attended for the first week or two, but attendance
precipitously dropped off.
I'd be interested in a study group seeing as I've never actually
finished all of this class before :-/
I'm sure that it would be fine to host this - I would imagine that
the only requirement would be a sudoroom member who wants to bottom line
this. Any takers? Also - we should check the calendar to try to find a time
where we think we can get good turnout without overlapping with too many
