Why not keep extra chairs stacked neatly somewhere just inside the door in
the event that we actually need extra seating?
I agree that all of those chairs are a bit overkill. Also, the cafe would,
at some point, like to apply for a permit for outdoor seating.

we take the feelings of our neighbors (the people that live next to us)
very seriously.
I'd like our neighbors to be on our side and love that we are there. If
that means fewer chairs, or just being anal about straightening the chairs
all the time, that seems fair. I think erring on the side of being too
considerate to our neighbors is a good idea...
I do like the folding bench idea!!

Yea, yar - I'm not saying we have to do it, but honestly I've never seen
even the bench and metal chairs full (seating about six).. do you think we
need seating for 12?
I'm thinking, maybe why don't we see if we're ever running out of
seating, then return to the idea of adding more chairs, ie if that is
needed.
I think the more chairs we add, the more likely we are to get a
complaint is all. And If we don't need em, I figure why put that
risk out there.
I propose doubling the number of chairs every day until we get a
complaint, then backing back down to the previous number.

Maybe install a large folding bench onto the side
