This is a great question. Andy did not select Temescal Brewing; rather, we were informed
by the Omni that there was an opportunity to table at an event there on the 21st,
alongside other Omni groups. I would love to see us organizing our own external events to
bring new eyes on the space, and I see this as an opportunity to iterate on that process.
We still need more ideas, and I’m hopeful that the feedback we receive from this event
will better inform our future efforts to organize external events.

Hi Andy,
I think if we want to shift the balance of membership at sudoroom we need to be very
intentional about where we do outreach. Can you explain the choice of Temescal Brewery as
the best place to reach out to demographics underrepresented at sudoroom and hackerspaces
in general? Would you describe it as a predominantly queer, female, low-income, youth, or
POC space?

We will be discussing plans to do a member outreach event at Temescal Brewery on the 21st
of September! We'll also discuss our complicated, onerous new member process.
If you'd like to add something to the agenda, reply below!
