I don't think it would be a problem to use the server for this. All of
our internet traffic goes through it anyway, and if it can't handle that
plus sharing some big files, maybe it needs to be upgraded.
either way, you are welcome to have an account on the machine, if you
email me your public key and what username you would like to have.

Thanks Jake!
Since the server its used for infrastructure, I prefer to leave it alone.
I definitely will be putting some stress to it and may slow things down.
It just occurred to me that I could do my tests by plugging a laptop to the
switch and share a folder from there. If this works, then I most likely
reach out to you. But, if it doesn't it will die there. :)
Thanks again for your prompt reply.

yes of course, i can create a login for you on the sudoroom
server. But it is used for infrastructure, so you must avoid
crashing it and don't let any hackers get in.
send me your public key. How will you be transferring data -
using scp?

can someone please tell me if members have access to
server storage?
basically what I am looking is for a 20GB shared
folder with full
permissions; local access.
thanks in advance!
