I don't think the suggestion to summon police would have been made by
someone aware of these issues. I think that the most direct route to
awareness will be signs, posters and flyers, directed toward people who
should know better, but don't.
Of course it's the duty of the privileged to educate themselves, but as a
community of people who are in possession of this knowledge, we should do
what we can to make sure newcomers to our community are informed of this
important issue, to prevent a repeating pattern of ignorant accidents.
I assume the Material Print Machine or one of the many giant laser
printers at sudoroom are up to the task of reproducing a well-worded primer
on police brutality and police reality.
