Awesome!!! I don't think I can make it but I'd love to coordinate on a
doorbell extender.
I want to comment that a lot of people ring the doorbell who have nothing to do
with sudoroom and are just trying to get into the building to use the bathroom
or look for food or to wander around. I don't think it makes practical sense
to pipe the doorbell into Sudoroom without a two-way conduit of information of
at least audio, so that you can find out what someone is asking for before
deciding whether to buzz them in. You also need to be able to communicate for
example, "pull the door open now" and "no, the doorknob does not turn"
etc.
A fine way to do that would be to setup a jitsi terminal outside the door, with
just the microphone and speaker and camera outside (no screen for them)

It’s an open hack day. Bring whatever you want to work on, or help me put
together a wifi doorbell extender!
See you there Sunday’
