wow this is such a good vibes thread!
I think it would be cool if sudoroom became a place that people (especially women) could
come to, be creative and interact with others without having to face pressure to join
diversity groups or work on projects around children's education.
I would like to make the focus of SudoRoom primarily to make cool hacker projects and
fostering creativity in women. There should never be anyone pressuring a creative person
to join in committees, join women's groups, and each group should probably have a show
and tell segment.
I do not see any benefit in getting involved and coming in person any night other than
hardware hacking night if I have to join a cleaning committee (I have very little free
time as it is), a women's group, a diversity committee, and working on charity
projects that I don't have time for.
SudoRoom's primary goal should be to be a place where people can be creative and work
on something that builds them as a person. We should also protect women from being pushed
into any of these groups involved in childcare, any committees, or volunteer groups.
