i don't see why we need multiple subnets, and if we do, why would they need
multiple ethernet ports?
space.local could be moved to the main subnet, why not?
and if we need more ethernet ports, we can just add PCIE cards right?

Originally we had two subnets, meaning the router should have at least
3 ethernet ports. Then we lost one of those subnets last year and some
devices (like space.local) are still inaccessible from that. Maybe
it's not necessary?
