Those both have 3.5mm male heads so they wouldn't be able to connect to the
mic.
After looking at Jake's suggestion, I got a new idea, I ordered the only
adapter I could find with the right plugs
and if it turns out the audio really is reversed then I'll bring it in to
crack open and rewire it.

I looked at the AKG K7XX. It’s wired as single-ended
stereo. Three
connectors- Left +, Right + and ground -.
I believe this is the adapter cable you're looking for-

Or this one-

Lots of other choices on the interwebs.

Subject: Re: [sudo-discuss] How to make a Mini-XLR to 3.5mm cable?
I'm trying to connect an AKG K7XX (headphones) which is:
* Mini-XLR Male
* Stereo
I'm trying to plug it into a V-MODA BoomPro (audio+microphone) which is:
* 3.5mm Male
* Stereo (I think)
I don't know about single-ended or balanced but this will go into a
laptop's 3.5mm headphone output port
