Hi Sudoers,
As you may have heard, we're building a Makerspace at the Sun Gallery in Hayward.
We are getting ready to purchase supplies for the space, but before we do so, we'd
like to ask you if you happen to have any items on our list that you no longer need and
would like to donate! In that way we can save some money to invest in things that we
can't get donated.
It was suggested that we come visit Sudo Room and take a look. So a few of us plan to take
a visit there tonight during Hardware Hacking. The idea is to sort some of your excess
supplies, and place them in a pile with a note saying that we plan to take these items
with us unless you want to keep them, in order to give people at Sudo Room a chance to
take any items back that they wish to keep. Then we come back at a later date to pick them
up. Sounds good?
Here are some items we're interested in:
- Electronics & Robotics: Multimeters, heat guns, power supplies, wire cutters,
crimpers, wires and cables of various kinds, adapters, electrical parts (resisters, LEDs,
diodes, etc.), motors, sensors, servos, Arduinos, microcontrollers, Raspberry Pi, robotics
parts, soldering irons & solder, etc.
- Mechanical & Power Tools: screwdrivers, hammers, wrenches, sockets, clamps, pliers,
rulers, calipers, box cutters, hack saws, wood saws, drills, bits, dremel tools, etc.

you'd like to donate.
