i intentionally left the smaller door in the "latched" position but slightly
ajar, to prevent the door from latching, when i left, to help the dance group
which still had people at a welcome table in the front room.
i showed them very closely what I did and demonstrated several times how to
restore the door to normal operation when they left, but they either didn't do
that or you found it before they left.
the screw was already missing but it would be nice to put it in.

the front door was open by operation of the smaller

and the larger door being closed which caused the smaller door to stay open.
upon inspection, i discovered that one of the bolts holding the vertical
bar, that locks the smaller door closed, was missing & the vertical bar
assembly was dangling loosly on it's other bolt.
i rebolted the assembly back down but i think it may be time to install the
lower bar on the smaller door, that goes into the floor to secure the door
from the top & bottom.
i've been told there's a place in emmeryville that sells commercial door
parts.
i'll try to find out where it is.
