Hi Makerspace First of all I really respect what you are doing. I think its a great project and very worthwhile teaching classes and providing resources for people to make stuff! I made a modular shelf and was wondering if you would be interested in making it for your space. I provide the plastic parts and give a cutting guide for you to take to your local wood merchants. So it is a maker product I think. The connector piece was designed on a 3d printer and then moulded. I've attached some pics for you to consider if it would make a useful addition to your space.
