Hi! I'm new to Oakland/SudoRoom, so this may be the completely wrong
place to ask this... but can anyone recommend a good electrician to
run phone cables? Ideally one who is available on the weekends?

They are usually pretty easy to run yourself, if you are of the sudoer
persuasion? If it is a non-huge floorplan.
Typically electricians don't run datacom cable as their main thing, you get
telco guys for that.
All you need are cable, punchdown tool, crimpers, jacks(?) and a staple gun.
I'm sure any sudoer could show you how, or lmk and I can.
If it is commercial / large scope I can hmm, refer you to SUDO's
professional services arm? and we could bid on it..

I'm SUDOey, but mostly in the non-physical space. I'm a huge chump
when it comes to anything that actually impacts the physical world.
Hoping to change that.
If you're willing to exchange training on how to run a modem cable for
beer/whiskey/tea/coffee or any other service I can provide I'm super
eager to learn.

It's a plan. I will show you all you wanted to know about cabling in..hm..
30mins should do it, including a few practice crimps.
We'll see what SUDO has laying around in terms of tools...anything they
don't have, I can lend you. Piece o cake! Just PM me & well figure it out -
