Thanks all for your feedback to this serious concern.
We appreciate everyone's different efforts and methods of response to this.
Sometimes the help we desire to give, we're not equip to provide and it may
do more harm than help.
Not to say Trevor is not being helped, I'm aware that even a subtle
acknowledgement could make your day brighter when you're displaced /
unhoused.
When Trevor joined Sudo Room (SR), people from the collective got together
and supported him. Over time their support decreased for variety of reasons.
Sacred Maker Arts Collective (SMAC) has been and is still in support of
Trevor and doing their best to connect him with resources.
Thank you both SMAC and SR for extending your hands to help.
• I followed up with the people involved / in conversation on this topic
and related. I have not been in contact with Trevor other than simple
greets. He and I got into an altercation early this month and we've been
giving each other space to avoid escalation.
• Andre (FNB, Omni) and I spoke and he shared that Trevor threatened him
twice inside Omni: "I'll beat your ass"
Andre did not engage.
The recent occured on Saturday 5-18.
- Andre expressed feeling unsafe at Omni due to Trevor's repeated threats.
He mentioned Trevor's prior physical assault inside Omni.
• The hacked computer(s) early this month (see consensus list "hacked") was
performed by Trevor.
- He has been impersonating Sierk and contacted numerous people asking for
money. People have been donating money.
Sierk's accounts is still inaccessible.
- On Friday (5-24) at Omni a person found out they were scammed and
confronted him, Trevor denied involvement.
I spoke with that person after and they showed me the screen with the
interaction and money they gave.
(photos attached)
These are only two recent events this month. There are more inappropriate
behaviors and violations such as inhabiting (SMAC room in basement
conference) and smoking in the building, screamed at volunteers (when
called out on something), along with other issues including inconsiderate
(e.g. not cleaning up after).
There's also the act of physical assault inside Omni from Trevor he was
never held accountable for, that resulted in an non enforced temporary ban
he was dishonest on his word of complying.
There are details, more context and proof for all the claims made.
We as a whole have been lenient in accountability and from the pattern of
inappropriate behaviors from Trevor, more harm may occur.
It is not worth taking the risk for him to act on his threats of violence
to another volunteer.
*• East Bay FNB calls for a permanent expulsion of Trevor Medina from the
building and all activities related to Omni Commons and East Bay FNB to be
in effect without delay.*
*- Trevor have until Tuesday May 28th 6pm to gather all his belongings and
remove himself from the building.*
*- Trevor is demanded to return the accounts to its rightful user.*
*- Reason for ban is threats of physical violence and stealing inside Omni
Commons.*
We ask the collectives and organizers and volunteers from Omni Commons to
respect and support our request.
Thanks,
Toan

I found a man early this morning in the middle room just to the
right of the former Liberated Lens space. The space was
neat and looked very livable . . . he was watching video on
a computer monitor. I introduced myself and asked him to
be less belligerent with Andre. Andre is a FNB volunteer and
a volunteer custodian at Omni. He asked me to intervene
because this young man (light named Trevor) has been
threatening him. Andre says he has repeatedly observed
this young man sleeping overnight in the Omni.
I have been told that
“Trevor” is or has been a member of Sudo room and Sacred Maker space.
I hope that other members of those collectives will stop “Trevor’s”
violations of our safe space and non-habitation guidelines.
Thank you
joe

Hi All,
I've written a Donald Trump satire, and would like to get it out into the
public as quickly as possible for obvious reasons. It's an update of a
previous version that I self-published on Amazon (KDP). Below are reviews
from that book (it's been updated). I also included a copy of the cover.
The work is ostensibly a briefing and guide book written for DJT by staff
for when he becomes the president again in 2025.
I've been a professional comedian and comedy-writer, but I'm a technical
moron and can't figure out how to put this book up on a website, or on
Substack. Since time is short, my plan is to offer it for free and ask for
donations at the end. I would like to hire someone to get it up on an
appropriate venue.
If interested, contact me, I'll email you the entire book (about 80 pages)
and we can discuss.
Best,
Ira Brightman

This spoof of the Trump presidency is still a hysterical reminder of the
danger that the former president posed, and that his surrogates are still
out there. Though this book is very funny, it also points out that Trump
really isn’t a laughing matter.

There’s a lot of Trump humor out there, but Ira’s stands out because it’s
clever, and unique (the “Meet [insert dictator/world leader]” sections were
my favorite), and just a delight to read. Also, if you don’t laugh at Ira’s
“suggestions” to Trump for cabinet members, it’s probably because you’re
unconscious or wearing Q-anon pajamas.

On May 6th, Sierk's computer was hacked by someone in Omni Commons who
accessed his computer when he left it unattended. They took over his
Facebook account, replacing it with a "Dillinger - Public Enemy No1" logo
and sent direct messages to me, and to another person at Omni who was
hacked in the same way a few weeks earlier.
They also took over Sierk's Google account including his telephone number,
and created a Signal account with his number, and communicated to me from
all those accounts claiming to be Sierk.
I finally talked with Sierk in person (on May 7th) and confirmed that none
of the accounts were in his control, and he had no way of getting back
control of his Google account. Last night he asked me (in person) to tell
people at the Omni that they should disregard messages appearing to come
from him (including over SMS/text messaging), which are now asking for
money.
*Sierk says that people should ONLY trust in-person communications with him
for the time being. *He can often be found at Omni, working on his
computer upstairs.

I'm going to cancel next Monday's Memorial Day meetup for women and
nonbinary folks at SudoRoom because... it's Memorial Day! Does anyone have
any objections? I'll email the two people who joined on the meetup.

Hello!
Was hoping a day could get picked to do a major space clean out and Mop Removal? Would love to have the space to get the woodworking corner working and I’m sure there are valuable parts that we could set up an Ebay corner for that we just haven’t sorted through- I’d be happy to volunteer a few days for that!

Hey all
As you may know I also volunteer with scraper bikes. They recently had a break in and lost all their tools. Can I come by with a box and we could put together some tools for donation?
Thank you!

Spencer,
Sorry I missed this thread from a few weeks ago. I'm wondering if we can
take this to a wiki (I get a digest of SudoDiscuss and it's not easy to
thread these conversations!)

Awesome, I would love to hear more about your japanese notecard approach.
I'm an unabashed Obsidian + Anki user - and I think there are
tools/scripts/plugings that can resurface content "just in time" -- but
there is a danger of throwing everything in a digital file never to be seen
again.
How about a show and tell of current systems, would you be able to do a
recording at Sudoroom and I will set one up at THS? For me it will have to
be next month.
Some other questions:
- how do you begin to know what you don't know? How to create a syllabus
for a new domain of knowledge - what is too deep and what is too shallow -
mind mapping, skill trees etc
- how to organize analog notes - how to do "analog search"
- gamifying learning so that you actually want to review the things you
studied
- project based learning - how can you learn something new through a
project, but not get frustrated that you don't know the thing you are
trying to learn through the project...
- sharing list of resources, hackerspace wikis etc

Have you scraped Sudo¹s instagram feed? I¹ll see what I can dig up on my

Here¹s some key things Cere and I thought of that Sudo has brought to the
community-
Fixit clinic; empowering the right to repair
Hacking synthesizers, electronic music
Bicycle lighting party
Women/Non-binary coding night
Fixing/hacking scientific equipment
Women who code
Free laptops
Solar power storage battery design
Laser cutting projects
Open lab for folks to create
Free Access to electronic materials
Incubator for a variety of art projects
Repair for sound equipment used for events
