resources for starting a hackerspace in Mississippi?

Hi, my friend Elle Seven is visiting from Mississippi. She coordinates diversity teaching workshops, art shows, skates and has travelled to Senegal. She's well versed in education and is interested in starting a hackerspace in Missisissppi Are there resources on the Noisebridge wiki for this? She is not so versed in technology but is a skater, artist and a maker. Anyone who could also go on the street, wave signs and play music to beckon and lure people in right before the art murmur would also be great! I'd like to use government data to make an iPhone mobile app [[native]] for my programming portfolio.
