David-
You are right on the button with the COI's and I appreciate it. Regarding
Fire Insurance: according to Traci, Hartford is extending coverage for your
group until July 30. Perhaps I should ask for a binder from Hartford.
The move went rather smoothly though we missed a few things. We will take
those upstairs for now. Your group was quite polite and orderly and I
thank them. Our workers just finished for the day. Here's what we didn't
get done:
1. Concrete room: The far table has been dismantled. The floor is
cluttered. The near table is full of things. We have many boxes that
needs to be moved out. I have a bookcase full of outmoded software books
etc. Some Sci-American and ACM magazines. I have cleaned out the paint
bin and left some cans that might be useful. But alas! I lost the paint
and color for the outside gray.
2. Bulky pick-up has been scheduled for Wednesday (the only day of the
week). We have many cubic feet of bulky in the cooler room ready to be
taken to the sidewalk in the morning, Tuesday, the earliest we can put it
out.. There is also a phalanx of boxes in the concrete room ready to go
out as well.
3. Basement: It should be ready to move in, but we have books and
magazines shelved, most of which we plan to leave. That's the report I
got, anyway.
4. Kitchen: We have some bottles and cans ready to go to the CA
cash-refund guy. We have asked him to come by tomorrow. We are leaving 3
electric stoves, 2 reefers and a floor freezer. I understood that would be
OK, hope so.
5. Barroom: Didn't get to remove that long scratch and re-wax.
6. Outside: I will repair the tears in the awning, with your
permission, and will paint out the graffiti,
7. Doors to upstairs: These have been installed.
8. Circuit breakers: Cover-plates, etc. installed--except for the main
one--there are difficulties but being addressed.
That's the main picture, I am deeply sorry we are not completely vacated.
There will be two workers tomorrow at 8:30 am to finish up, and I humbly
request your permission.
I will look forward to greeting you about 11 am. I will have 7 keys ready
to give you.
Regards,
John Givens

Hi John,
Attached please find the Certificates of Insurance for the OOC and signing
member entities.
The meatier policy booklets are still on their way, should you require
those. All are from State Farm except for Livespace (the dancers')
insurance, which is provided by F.Dean.
If you look at Livespace's policy, you will note it says 'OMNIdance aka
Livespace'. Livespace recently decided to change their name to OMNIdance.
The insurers are aware of this, and ergo both names are listed on the
policy.
The State Farm certificates, as generated by their system, apparently only
have room for one additional named insured on their form -- that being you
-- but in fact, the member entity policies do name OOC as an additional
named insured, as well as comply with the Waiver of Subrogation, the
'primary' language for your insurance and so forth. Should you have
questions, you can of course just let me know or feel free to email / call
State Farm Agent Thomas Kliensmith directly at:

Also, I wanted to set a schedule for tomorrow. It's been an extremely
hectic time what with moving for us, I am not sure what you have perhaps
already coordinated with Jordan (Yar) re: arrival on Tuesday?
In any case I am planning to come by not long after 11AM - I am tentatively
meeting Joe Lisner there, as well as a carpenter to look at some things. I
hope you or Mary will be there?
I also wanted to apologize if Sudo's moving operations have been overly
burdensome to you and Mary. It's been a spectacular amount of work on our
end coordinated amongst many volunteers to get things moved - obviously, I
know you have a great deal of moving to do yourselves, so I am grateful to
you that you have both been tolerant of the motley crew of schleppers that
have stepped up to help.
Many thanks,
David
Patrick, Max K., and I just left Sudo at 2141 Broadway. I locked the Sudo's main door.
Thx!

There is one place on 2nd or 3rd street near Gilman in Berkeley. Someone brought computer stuff to them and by saying that was from Martin Luther King Middle school they took it at no charge. Just saying.

Someone please call him or Laurie to sort this out?
Id put his # here, but as its publicly archived, I feel like, thats not
responsible.
Deposit depends on this y'all..
Sudo Room received this grant in Round 7, so the grantees are "are NOT
eligible to apply again as lead organizers in Round 8" but it seems that:
"former grantees (both lead organizers and additional collaborators) from
ALL previous rounds may participate in Round 8 applications for *new,
completely unrelated projects as collaborators."*
>From the FAQ: https://www.soex.org/alternative-exposure/faq
*I received an Alternative Exposure grant during one of the past rounds.
May I reapply for another grant?*
Beginning with Round 7 (2013), select former grantees are eligible to
reapply for new projects (not related to projects previously funded by
Alternative Exposure).
*For Round 8 (2014) only:*
If you received an Alternative Exposure grant from Rounds 1-4 (2007-2010),
you are eligible to apply again as a lead organizer if 1) you are applying
for a completely new, unrelated project, and 2) the first project was
successfully completed and the final report was submitted to Southern
Exposure. Grantees from Rounds 5, 6 or 7 (2011-2013) are NOT eligible to
apply again as lead organizers in Round 8. However, former grantees (both
lead organizers and additional collaborators) from ALL previous rounds may
participate in Round 8 applications for new, completely unrelated projects
as collaborators.

Announcing Round 8 of the Alternative Exposure Grant Program
*Southern Exposure is proud to announce Round 8 of the Alternative Exposure
grant program, which provides monetary awards to foster the development and
presentation of artist-led projects and programs that are direct,
accessible, and open to the public.*
Since launching the program in partnership with the Andy Warhol Foundation
for the Visual Arts in 2007, we have awarded $421,000 in direct funds to
120 Bay Area projects led by self-organized artists and small groups in the
San Francisco Bay Area. Funded activities have included a new exhibition or
exhibition series, the ongoing work of an arts venue or collective, a
public art project, a one-time event or performance, publications directly
related to the visual arts, an online project, an artist residency, a
series of film screenings and more.
As a vital hub for the visual arts in San Francisco, Southern Exposure
seeks to help sustain the Bay Area visual arts community through
Alternative Exposure grants. To learn more about the many projects funded
by Rounds 1–7 of Alternative Exposure, visit www.soex.org

*Generous lead support for Alternative Exposure is provided by the Andy
Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. Additional support is provided by
Grants for the Arts/San Francisco Hotel Tax Fund.*
