Hi all,
Just came by Sudo Room tonight, and I met a guy named Zirk there (pretty
sure I'm not spelling his name right, but that's how it sounded). He knew
his way around, and told to email you all.
I'm just looking for someone who knows how to repair 3D printers,
specifically the SLA kind. Can anyone help, or can point me to someone who
can?
Best,
Koz
Please contribute a few dollars if you can and share with your local

*Beloved Community,*
*We need your help to continue our good work* of connecting small farmers
of color to communities across the East Bay. Our 2 delivery vehicles have
been pushed beyond their lifespan and *are no longer running. *We are
asking our community to help us secure the down payment on the purchase a
lightly used delivery van.
*What we use our van for:*
On a weekly basis Phat Beets Produce Van is needed :
-To Deliver 100's of boxes of local produce across the East Bay via Beet
Box CSA <https://www.phatbeetsproduce.org/>
-To Deliver 1000's of pounds of free fruits* and veggies to 5 different
medical clinics, numerous community partners and community centers, provide
boxes free of charge to 25 high school classrooms, numerous encampments,
and to an Oakland Public Library.
-Free home delivery to customers on EBT
-To Support our youth program and urban farm/edible parks
-To Support community events with Self Help Hunger Program and North
Oakland Restorative Justice Council
*Free Fruit is donated weekly by Fruit Guys. Veggies are grown at our
urban ag parcels and purchased from our network of small farmers of color.
Additional veggies for free distribution are provided as well by Food Not
Bombs
*Help us to continue to do this important work as we work to
raise $5,000 to serve as a down payment for a lightly used delivery van*.
Our earned income from our various RESTORATIVE ECONOMICS programs will
cover our monthly payments after we secure the down payment.

If anyone could please help with this task, it's a relatively simple one:
Omni's recycling service provider is CiviCorps, an awesome local org. They
provide FREE ewaste pickup, but the service has to be requested and things
to be picked up itemized.
The online form is here:

Is anyone able to help take this on sometime in the next few weeks? Please
include the large TV located on the Entrance Hall stage.

Hi everyone, I know we discussed at the last meeting Gwen slamming the door
in someone's face when she asked to use the bathroom. There was another
incident that went down the exact same way a few days ago, and tonight
there was another that prompted me to ask Gwen to leave.
I was sitting in the small classroom and heard Gwen answer the door, and
shouted "it's 50,000 a month, are you going to help pay for this place,
huh, are you" in a very aggressive tone, but she allowed the person in to
use the bathroom. As the person was leaving, Gwen shouted "YOU'RE WELCOME"
repeatedly in an extremely snotty tone. I heard this myself, confirmed I'd
heard correctly with the woman who used the bathroom, and then asked Gwen
to leave. To her credit, she simply said "no problem" and left immediately.
This is a completely unacceptable way to answer the door at Omni. I'm not
sure if Gwen if a sudo member, but I strongly feel whichever collective she
belongs to should call her in and have a conversation about this. At the
same time, I feel we have the responsibility not to pretend this problem is
limited to Gwen and at the next sudo meeting we need to brainstorm ways to
reform the door policy to be more inclusive.
Hi sudoroom,
Everything going well on your ends? I haven't been able to keep up to
date with the happenings of the collective.
Anyways, I'm writing because I recently stumbled upon on a blockchain
system which allows for trust-less enforcement of decentralized
organization policies. I found the project intriguing and wanted to run
this past the community to see what people think about the structure.
Using a set of voting classes and judicial review classes written into
contracts, the network they built provides transparent governance for
the viewing and participation in important decision for open groups.
The blockchain network in question is called Aragon. Linked is the white
paper for reference: https://github.com/aragon/whitepaper
Also written in JavaScript/Solidity, right up sudoroom's alley.
Let me know what you guys think.

Kristine,
I will forward your email to the Sudo room makerspace in oakland, they
might want them for their computer lab.

Sudoers!
Free computers, is anyone at the Omni interested in them? Presumably they
are reasonably powerful if they were used for CAD. [see copied email]

With great power comes great responsibility.
