forrest mims notebook at sudoroom and maybe our own engineering notebook!

I'd just like to leave this up here, some copies of the old forrest mims notebooks. I didn't do a lot of soldering and circuit building when Radio Shack was still a thing, but people here at SudoRoom told me that these were in circulation. https://www.flickr.com/photos/miromi/sets/72177720299391640 I'm thinking of making a version of engineering notebooks similar to forrest mims. they could be tailored so that they're down to earth and appeal to people who BIPOC / cool independent women who don't necessarily want to care for children or become mothers / and more!

Fwd: STUFF REMOVAL SATURDAY JUNE 4!

Hey all, I'm trying to organize a massive "stuff removal" from omni next weekend (Saturday June 4). If you'd like any other things to GO, you should ADD it to these piles! Hi Pauldogg, I saw your application for membership to sudoroom - we are in the process of improving the instructions on that page so people realize that the first steps to joining sudoroom are things like joining the sudoroom-discuss email list, and coming to the space! I sent you an invite to the email list and you should join and say hi there, and meet other people and hear about the events we have. You can come to the space on Tuesday night for Hardware Hacking Tuesdays for example, or a meeting on Wednesday (usually?) and JavaScript Thursdays. Or just write an email to the list asking when anyone else (a member) might be in the space and willing to host you so you can see the space and start meeting people. thank you! -jake

WNB last night and holiday

Last night was fun! 4 ppl showed up, including some from this list! I won't be able to make it this coming Monday since I'll be coming back from a trip, if any wnb from this list want to be in charge I'm totally fine! It seems there's always people at Omni C on Monday evenings, so getting in should not be an issue. BTW I wasn't able to use my card to get in, it seems there's a new lock with a number combination? Or it was already there and I didn't notice. The card light got green but nothing. front door lock issue

Hi Juliana, the box with the number combination on the front door is for when the electronic system doesn't work at all, it contains a physical key. I maintain the electronic system for the front door and you can call me whenever you're at the front door and can't get in, and I can help figure out what is not working and remotely open the door for you. I emailed you my number before. It is (415)533-3699. You can also have root access on the door control system if you want it and can connect over ssh and do everything I can do. according to the logs, the card system was used a lot last night and worked (only one try) for a lot of people. Note that the door handle will not turn with the electronic latch. people forget that the door handle does not turn and think it is not unlocked, but it is unlocked, just pull it open. -jake

Looking for a square, 4-pin JST connector

I'm looking for a square 4-pin JST connector and I CANNOT find one. I can't find a simple 4-pin connector with 2 rows. I need one to match the receiving connector in these pictures. It appears to be a 2 mm pitch in the PH family or something similar. But like I said, I cannot find ANYWHERE that sells a 4-pin connector in this square arrangement. Nothing would make me happier than for someone to share a link and ask how I didn't find it in a minute.
