Writing here to inform folks that the Temescal Business Improvement
District is currently conducting a campaign to transform the parcel where
the former Kasper's Hot Dogs stand is located into a public plaza, cutting
off the connection from Shattuck through to 47th St and Telegraph.
They are having open meetings re: the proposal on April 3rd, April 18th,
and a third date still TBD. I think it's important that longstanding and
potentially-impacted communities show up and represent!

Job Description:
There is an old (1996) intercom system in our building. When someone
presses my apartment number button at the gate, I get a "call" on a
phone-like device at home and press a button to unlock the door strike
downstairs.

I need to modify (rig/hack) it in such a way, that "open" button is
"pressed" automatically 3 seconds after incoming call. So that there is no
need to have person pickup the call and push the button.
The reason for that is that on certain days I need to let some people into
the building without being present there. So ideally I'd like this rig to
only work during certain windows (which I program manually) and not 24/7.
I'll provide more detail on how it should operate.

I uploaded the correct firmware to the machine (it was running firmware for a
machine with different physical attributes) and now it seems to print fine.
I didn't have the time to properly prepare the bed though, so there was some
non-adhesion, but the giant spool of filament is hooked up and it's ready to
go.
cura-lulzbot slicer is installed on the computer there, and "sudoroom white
ABS" filament is defined and should work. Pronterface (red icon) is the
program to use to drive the printer and run the gcode generated by cura.
don't do the SD card thing, it won't work and is terrible.
