Techonomy Bio conference today - special rate for biohackers/hackers

sudo door stepper motor failure

I got a report that the sudo door stepper motor is making noises but not turning anything. Sounds like a bad connection somewhere. I'm out of town for a bit. Maybe someone else can take a look at it? -- marc/juul

Power adapter

Who are East Bay hackerspaces for?

In this last East bay express there was an article "Hacking local in Hayward" about a new hackerspaces Hayhackers. The article emphasizes their young education aspects. Then a quote from Christina Depulta on other East bay hackerspaces : "they're either young singles or techies and software engineers or mothers with children. We wanted to have a space for everybody. " Do you think this is a valid rubric for a hackerspace's demographic, and does sudo fit into one category? I wonder if having that kind of all inclusive space is even a fantasy holy grail? Just pondering the current state of our sudo-populous as we've now come to be a reference point for new hackerspaces to judge themselves by. @notconfusing

Folks, I have a Ford F-150 truck that is pretty rank from countless spilled bean dishes left to molder, but can also be used in a pinch and to police up random items left over from the big push with the 24' rental truck. My first (and so far only) wife promised to help me clean it for my birthday, so maybe that can happen first, certainly by the solstice. I've also got dollies, if needed, and will bring liquid entertainment. I'm a little daunted by the big move, but I'll keep my craven cowardice to myself.
