Subject: Tell Gov. Brown at His State of the State Address: Ban California Fracking Now
It's that time again — time for the California Governor's State of the State Address on Wednesday, January 22nd.
And it's way past time for the state to ban the dangerous, destructive, climate-dooming practice of fracking.
Join the Center, Californians Against Fracking, Food & Water Watch, CREDO, and others at a rally to tell Governor Jerry Brown:
Ban fracking throughout California now. Activists from across the state will be there. Will you?
Transportation will be provided from the Bay Area to the Capitol Building in Sacramento.
Bus pick up times and locations:
San Francisco Civic Center BART — 6:00 a.m.
1814 Franklin St. (at 19th St.), Oakland — 6:20 a.m.
The bus will return to Oakland by 1:00 p.m. and San Francisco by 1:20 p.m. Click here to reserve your seat on the bus.
Want to meet us in Sacramento? The rally will take place at 8 a.m. at the State Capitol Building on the north side, 1315 10th St., Sacramento, CA 95814.
You can RSVP on our Facebook event page here or by emailing me.

hey all,
I heard a rumor from my roommate that Grocery is setting up electronics
recycling Saturday and Sunday, 2900 Broadway just up the street from sudo
room.
Any confirmations? I'm seeking one currently.
If confirmed, anyone want to check it out to (a) drop stuff off we don't
need (b) keep our eyes peeled for good fixable stuff!?

I'd like to update the blog...
did anyone take notes of simply photographs or hashtages from Mass Effect?

Dear friends,
it's been a while, and I miss you all.
Starting next Wednesday (5–7pm, right before the weekly meeting), Global
Lives is hosting a month-long, 17-screen exhibit in San Francisco to host
salon gatherings for broader audiences interested in global citizenship and
travel, empathy and education, and film and new media, as well as field
trips for Bay Area schools for workshops on empathy and global citizenship.
This exhibit is part of its initiative to provide educational materials for
over 400 teachers in the USA and around the world who asked for help using
video as a resource in their classroom.
Because I believe in the power of people speaking for themselves, I'm
working with Global Lives to build their education program and broader
community. And thanks to the support we received last year, Global Lives
produced 8 videos within 11 months! The amazing series features a day in
the life of 10 transit workers around the world.
You can preview five of the films at
www.globallives.org/liveintransitpreviews/ and learn more about the exhibit
opportunities atwww.globallives.org/exhibitmonth2014.
*Before Friday at 2PM, Global Lives needs $9,500 to put curriculum and
resources in the hands of teachers and show its video library of life
experience to a wide audience – please donate
at www.globallives.org/donate/ <http://www.globallives.org/donate/>.*
I would be humbled and thankful if you would donate to support this amazing
work today.
Sincerely,
Danny

India had no cases of Polio this year. That's pretty damn awesome!
A toast to modern medicine, policy makers and healthcare workers!
