I don't have a car, but localwiki can donate this server to sudoroom if we can figure out a way to pick it up and transport. I will need to pull the drives, though. Ideas? It's relatively speedy, just not worth colo'ing for us (switched to ec2 for now)

Any chance you can pick up the machine this Wednesday (March 20)?

This week is somewhat busy. I will probably be home around 10pm
tonight, unless
you want to meet me at City Beer Store between 7pm and 10pm.
I'll also be available some time on Wednesday evening after the
coop
board
meeting.

I unplugged it and can either ship the drives to you for data

can arrange to ship the whole machine. Please let me know.

Would be good to get this machine if possible. There may be a

I'm in SF so if you're here too it shouldn't be too hard to
coordinate?

No, Graham gave all of the equipment to the coop. However

The Q I have: what will happen to this physical machine?
It

How

Thanks for all your amazing work!!

After digging through some archives of c-base (an epic hackerspace in
Berlin), I thought it'd be wise to start collecting memories of sudo room.
I've created http://sudoroom.org/wiki/Press to neutrally and unbiasedly
start charting our journey from fledgling to Mother Goose to wayward
hackers.
Please, 'read all about it'. add, and expound
http://sudoroom.org/wiki/Press
without confusion,
notconfusing
We were supposed to finally vote to update the Articles of Association
on 3/20, but the wiki went down on 3/18 and stayed down until this
past weekend! We didn't feel comfortable voting without the diff in
front of us, and knowing that the full week of "online-consentability"
was not fulfilled. But now the wiki is back up - thanks to all the
people who worked hard to fix it!
This message serves as your reminder. You have an extra few days to
review the diff online, to make up for lost time:
https://sudoroom.org/mediawiki/index.php?title=Articles_of_Association%2FCo…
Hope to see you at the 3/27 meeting and finally make this happen!
All:
There's a lot of wiki spam that is being created as of the 24th- I would
like to propose that we have either a temporary block or email verification
on users who create accounts and immediately create new pages, and possibly
a block on certain ip ranges.
thoughts?
(who wants to go in and revert the recent spam? Who wants to make it their
full time job?)

This weekend, I and several other sudoers laid ethernet cable from
SudoRoom to the front door, which meant crawling through the
"crawlspace." It was successful! And we've learned a lot for the next
time. I've documented the experience here:
https://sudoroom.org/wiki/page/Attic
tl;dr it's a giant deadly attic. Be very careful.
hi everyone,
if you are interested in food hacking, etc. please join the new *sudo-food*list.
additionally, we have a few new lists for people to join as well.
please check out all the specific mailing lists here:

Romy,
I believe you misread my intent. It was NOT about PR and they aren't selling anything except t-shirts (for the non-creative). It was a request for interest in participating. Sudo is a creative community. I'd waste our time asking for anything else, no?

Hey I hung out at sudo room yesterday ... The sound art guys were cool!
Then came a public school dance group -- this lady led a bunch of male dancers which was neat. I'm so used to women dance troupes
It got me thinking:: how do you get the different groups to cross pollinate more?
Do sudo room people mix much with the dancers or the public school?
I'm already thinking of ways to coax the dance group to work with the experimental sound guys and do some kind of dance music hack!
Maybe we can build arduinos to put on the dancers !
