We moved a bunch more stuff to the Omni today. The only things left are a few scattered items, and trash piles which we will take care of tomorrow morning. There will probably still be some cleaning and vacuuming tomorrow. Maybe we'll even return our keys. :) Items still left which we'll take care of: * the piano downstairs * projector, screen & black stacking chairs * ??? Items we don't want: * couches, other furniture * trash pile * e-waste pile Please DO NOT go to the Omni before Tuesday! That's when our lease begins. We have disturbed the owners enough, they have been more than patient with us, and they shouldn't have to deal with random visits from strangers while they're busy packing up their lives. Repeat: DO NOT GO TO THE OMNI BEFORE TUESDAY

BIG SUNDAY MOVING DAY

Hey folks, we're moving our last things into the Omni tomorrow. The owners will be expecting us at 1pm. I don't think we need to rent a big truck for this - I think the remaining things can fit in a handful of cars and pickup trucks. Who's available? Things will go smoother if we start preparing early, so how about this: 11am - start moving things downstairs and queueing them up for vehicles 12am - pull up vehicles and start loading them 1am - vehicles + volunteers start arriving at the omni to unload Then we will have the rest of the day for cleaning and detailing. See you tomorrow! It would be wonderful if OUR WHOLE COMMUNITY could show up for this final moving sprint!!!

Doge pics and collective hug action

Hey everyone, I've been encouraged, quite emphatically, to enquire as to your collective favorite doge pic. I was under the impression that there is only one doge pic that just has many forms, but I may be challenged to change that impression. As for the individual who questioned my loyalty when I hesitated to burden your inbox with doge pics, well, if you see him around Sudo or elsewhere, perhaps you might feel moved to give him a hug. He needs to be reminded that we are all with him and with each other, not against him, even if we might disagree with some of the details of his plans. But hey, now that I have your attention: I wanted to thank everyone who has helped to pack, move, and scrub down the fingerprints of 1.6667-years'-worth of projects! If you haven't had a chance to help yet, there's still a lot that will need to be done tomorrow and over the weekend--from moving objects, sweeping and scrubbing, to providing moral support through snacks, music and back rubs. And if you aren't able to help with the move, that's ok in my mind because we can't all be available or able. You will continue to support the space in other ways. :] So excited for the Omni move! Use of the term "sleeper"

I want to open up a conversation on the use of the term "sleepers". I'd like to propose that we use wording like "Qwerty was found sleeping" (which describes an act that Qwerty did), rather than calling them a "sleeper" (which ascribes a quality to Qwerty). I believe that the latter creates an otherizing effect and is counter to my sense of Sudo Room's dedication to inclusivity. Omninom, Vicky
