Every day needs to be organization day.
Hey Guys,
I think I have 5 of us signed up to do the video... Let me know if you want
to be part of the fun. Should be a great time!
We have a good concept, and it easy and a good experience.
Let me know,

Noisebridge is having a party
https://noisebridge.net/wiki/Noisebridge_%22_the_Bridge%22_Party
why doesn't SudoRoom have a party too? SudoROom people are really great at
partying. it would be a great way to raise funds. plus then rusty could
make the SudoRoom music video!

I asked if the locks work. They told me: "The lockers have spaces to
put locks, but currently do not have locks."
Do we still want them?

assumed not so I just responded saying I can pick up anytime today. I
can pay cash but I will need to be partially reimbursed. Hope we're

Hey guys,
For those in the eastbay who havent checked this out I would like to
tell you guys about freespace. its a artist collective that was suppose
to be opened only for the month of June. Anyways they did a crowdfunding
campaign and is opened for July.
The warehouse is completely artist runned, as in people
paint/spray-paint the walls, make a slides out of Styrofoam and a
ventilation pipe, have yoga classes, etc.
Its pretty cool for those who havent had a chance to come to SF near
SOMA.
Here's an excerpt from their website: [freespace] cultivates civic
hacks. It is hosted in a 14,000 square foot warehouse in San Francisco's
Central Market District. Through the gift of temporary, underutilized
physical space, [freespace] fosters creativity, community and civic
innovation. Join us at 1131 Mission St.
happy haxing

awesome work! although i think you meant to say
"flip the switch to allow the elevator to operate normally when sudoroom
is open (switch position OFF), and make sure to flip the switch back ON
(elevator lockout enabled) when you are closing sudoroom and leaving"
also, if the raspberry pi crashes it is not guaranteed that it will lower
the GPIO pin and allow normal operation of the elevator. You should
consider a watchdog program that does something if the raspi stops
responding.

Hi sudoers.
The sudo room elevator is now hooked into the sudo room access control
system.
Things you should know:
Only the ability to use the elevator from downstairs is under access
control.
When you use door.sudoroom.org to open the outer street-level door it will
also allow you to use the elevator for the next 40 seconds.
When you go to door.sudoroom.org you will notice that there is a new
button for the elevator. You only need to use this if you are not also
unlocking the street-level door. This will allow you to use the elevator
for the next 20 seconds.
The elevator button on door.sudoroom.org does not call the elevator, it
only disengages the lockout so that pressing the button will call the
elevator.
There is a manual override switch mounted just outside of the door leading
into the sudo room space. You can and SHOULD use this to disable elevator
access control when you are in the space, but BE SURE TO ENABLE ACCESS
CONTROL IF YOU ARE THE LAST TO LEAVE.
If the raspberry pi crashes, then the access control will disable and the
elevator will function normally.

Hey Everyone,
A bunch of us are getting together to do some videography for a music
video. Starting at around sunrise, and hopefully getting some of Oakland
at sunset.
Ideally, we would want a bunch of dancers to come with us at either time to
do some shots for our new song. There is an FB event, and we'll need more
camera people possibly, and grips.
Let me know if you're interested. Would be awesome to flashmob the
cranes!!!!

Although slightly inaccurate at times, this video is a good
introduction to the concept and spirit of this event:

Hey all, unfortunately the elevator and door to upstairs are locked. I am
not there atm, so if any of you with keys are around, your help would be
much appreciated. We will figure out with George and Laurie why this
happened today. Apologies for any inconvenience (especially to CDP who were
unable to get in).
Marina!
hi all,
once again, we invite you to come do fun stuff with sudo kids tomorrow at
6PM. come early if you'd like to help cook and eat!
email me or ray if you have questions about getting involved or if you have
an idea for a project you'd like to do with the kids!

hey Gregg,
I started an art directory on SudoBook if you're interested in doing art
collaborations
https://github.com/sudoroom/SudoBook/tree/master/art
hope people can start forking and contributing to the github repo./.....
rabbit was talking about a comics collaboration a few months back... this
would be an ideal place to do it.
Hi all, Dennis from our Oakland Wiki crew asked me if I could fwd this to
the sudo discuss list in case anyone has time this week to help a
non-profit evaluate the quality of donated computers:
"The Garden Street Family Shelter is receiving donated computers this week.
However, they would like to assess the quality of the computers to ensure
that they possess the capacity to service them. They are seeking
assistance from someone with a technology background to look the computers
over. The computers are currently located in downtown Oakland at the
Private Industry Council.
If anyone is interested or has the time let Dennis Rojas know at
510-290-9705 or dennis.m.rojas(a)gmail.com.
Dennis"
I've copied him here. Please let him know directly if you can help, or
forward to anyone who you think might have time to help.
Thanks!
Marina
Sudoers,
The awesome Micaela from The Public School has launched a much-needed
system for coordinating the common space at 2141 Broadway, and I've been
adding content to it this afternoon:
http://2141broadway.wordpress.com
The calendar has been updated with the regular meetups and events that tend
to use the common space throughout the week. If I've missed something,
please drop me a line.
The site also contains guidelines on having events & meetups in the common
space, a form for proposing events, info on access and directions, some
notes on safety, and soon, a safer space policy! If you're interested in
working on a Safe Space policy, contact me off-list and we can coordinate a
brainstorm session in tandem with The Public School.
Yours,
Jenny
