has to be judged on a case by cases basis with respect to cyberpunk
value. should we have a wall of CRTs held together with landline cable?
my answer is not no.
we have alot more things than can be used in the space currently. my
vote would be to push storage to the periphery or out altogether in
favor of setting up more sitting/standing workspace w/ tools.
what is the status of the basement? did that printing collective
materialize or is there room for a proposal to move some books and
lockers down there? Probably good to size up tonight and come up with a
proposal to put in front of omni wg.

Well, what should we consider, stuff that is useful enough to keep?
Do items that
- Have not been used or touched in a year
- Do not power on
- Are decades obsolete with no better replacement
Still qualify as stuff worth keeping?
Maybe a good idea would be to relocate some disputed stuff to a parole table in say, the
basement, where, if it doesn't get touched for a while afterward, gets sent on its way
elsewhere?

work party tomorrow night during hardware night? I will be there.
jake and i have been talking about the need to better organize the robot pile to which i
have been increasingly a contributor. any thoughts on extending the shop bench to
partition wood from metal work and relocating one of those lockers to make space? a rack
and stack of what large items are in the space and noting who is working on them could be
part of the effort, with a second ewaste or craigslist free purge on stuff that we believe
won't be used by members.

yes! great poem & initiative, adam!!
omni now has two trash pickup days. and sudo is responsible in tandem with CCL for one of
those days. robb can you help clarify? i've been away too long to remember which days
are what..
*also cue my regular reminder that we can schedule FREE E-WASTE PICKUPS via our recycling
company CiviCorps' online form*
http://www.civicorpsrecycling.org/ewaste/
just need a sudoer present to let them in and help load out
the bulk of the work is itemizing what's to go.
anyone who brings ewaste into the space or creates it by taking stuff apart should be
involved in this process.
plz also note new wastebins and an arsenal of appropriately-sized trash bags.
hopefully they got installed in the space, by sierk i think?
merry xmas sudo :D

Yes most likely.
We can get rid of the E-Waste pile then, and think a bit about what else to get rid of
without getting caught in the "but maybe X will be useful one day" trap.

As cute as the poem is, I am serious, I'll bring some trash bags.
Sudo can be utilized way more than it currently is if we get rid of a bunch of stuff that
people don't use to make room for stuff that people will :-).

A new year has come round,
trash and e-waste abound!
Sudo is not quite solid state,
we must care for its fate.
I'll take out clutter by the bag,
let us now plan to de-frag?
