I so agree. Cool blog post, too.
Also, I've got an idea: you know how you said there's nowhere to go like
Radio Shack? And you know how we have talked about having issues with too
much electronics donation? What if Sudoroom set up a weekly free gear
pickup? Kind of like a yard sale, but with no sale. We sort of already do
this. Anyone who shows up to Hardware Hacking Tuesday can walk off with
anything in the donation pile, but what if we advertised this? Told people
to come by specifically to rummage for parts? Seems like a great way to
keep stuff out of a landfill and also bring in new people.

I think basically there is no such thing as radio shack or the weird stuff
warehouse in sunnyvale anymore. everything is online except for weird
holdouts like the SudoRoom hardware hack night.
so now a blog post about that! it's just nice to be tactile and talk in
person. It's like going to a library . imagine how horrible it would be if
there were only ebooks and no more physical books!
