Lots of people have said they know how to do this, has anyone started the process? in the meantime, i think that people should NOT contact this person on twitter without prior discussion and agreement at a meeting. I think we should ask godaddy to hand it over now, and see what they say in response. Maybe they'll say "we require a business license from the city" or maybe they'll say "here you go" have we even tried yet?

Straightforward process, requires filing a form and paying a $60 fee, then running a notice in a local (authorized) printed newspaper for some number of days, then the City sends you a paper saying you're licensed to do business. I used them last time I filed and it worked just fine. Note that this will also tick the box that tells the City to send business tax notices too. Yes I spent quite a while on the phone with them and they do require a business license. good answer.
