Yes I have keys to it, I can give you one! Charley Sheets bought a lock for
it and a bunch of copies of the key. I wish Charley came back.
What do you want to do with it? It's got a lot of capability already, it has
a raspberry pi inside which can play sounds and activate dispensers, and it
can read the dollar bill reader and maybe the coin counter too?

Is there also a way to make tokens so certain items can be free? I like the way the stuff
is displayed in a vending machine it looks cool.

Like, instead of tokens, how about a special code? For example,
there could be a special discount if you insert one coin at 13 minutes
after the hour and another at 37 minutes after the hour.

Yes lets meet up sometime and i'll give you a key and show you everything
about how it works!
It's based on a linux machine inside so you can definitely set up a web
interface that can trigger sales any way you like! But presently the hardware
installed in the machine can only recognize normal coins and bills.
we can always add more hardware or coin acceptors if you want though! we
might even have a coin acceptor that can be programmed, but i'm not sure.

We're going to grab extra keys but so far we just need to plug the linux machine in
and get the hack o mat powered up. There's a ton of cool equipment inside the hackomat
in near pristine condition.
I didn't do much but I think the first step is pretty fun. I think we can only
currently stock it with items in a few rows since the motors are shot.
But I'd like to get stuff to put in the hackomat like zines and art as well as the
cool electronics stuff that's there in the 2 or 3 rows with content (we even have on
eon Mitch Altman's tv be gone devices).
On a creative note for the other rows that aren't working (and even if the machine
isn't working) I should probably stash some cool art, the thing just looks cool.
Eventually I'd like to paint it and make it look pretty, maybe something more pastel
or more like a my little pony.
