TL;DR: The folks making the documentary on the commons have agreed to
produce it under a CC-BY-NC-SA 4.0 license (yay!). They plan to shoot
b-roll at the space on Tuesday and Friday, and do filming and
interviews on Wednesday and Thursday. Please reach out to Bunker
(number and email below) if you have questions or concerns, are
interested in being interviewed, or have ideas for the film!

Thanks so much Jenny.
It would be great to e-mail everyone. Feel free to share my e-mail and
number (215-971-0837) in the communication so anyone that wants to be
interviewed, has ideas, or specifically doesn't want to be filmed can
contact me. I'll create an account later today as well.
I'm thinking Wednesday and Thursday will be the main days we come by and
interview and film with tomorrow and Friday being possible b-roll days
(days I just show up with a camera and film some of the behind the scenes
activities).
The things we want to focus on are:
1) What is the impact of declining freedom of communication?
2) How is Sudo working to improve things? (especially the mesh network)
Thanks again, see you tomorrow or Wednesday.

Hi Jenny,
I responded to the wiki you made by saying
"CC-BY-NC-SA 4.0
International"
as the type of creative commons the director is
looking at. I
hope this satisfies the sudo room's request for the film to be
creative
commons
and I wanted to move forward with planning a few
days to come by
and
film.
That is so exciting to hear! I will pass this news along to the
group - do I have permission to forward this email?
I wanted to plan on coming by next week Tuesday,
Wednesday
and/or
Thursday
(jan 21st - 23rd) as those days seem to be filled
with Sudo Room
activity in the evening. Are there any specific events or times
you would
recommend
me coming by to film.
Awesome. On Tuesday there's an event being held by the Public
School in the common space, but there is 3D printing happening in
sudo room proper all evening. Jordan's pretty wary about cameras,
so she may not be down... but then again, she may!
Wednesday is a good day as there'll be both the sudo room weekly
general meeting happening (starting at 7) as well as some folks
who're organizing the protests against the Domain Awareness Center
(Oakland's new multi-million dollar surveillance system).
Thursdays are always great, as there's East Bay Javascript (7pm)
and Mesh (7:30), and generally a bunch of folks working on other
projects.
On Friday we're having an all-day educational event around the
anniversary of the Egyptian revolution. That starts at 3. On
Saturday afternoon there's weekly co-learning sessions starting at
2pm
I was thinking I could come early, do a sit down
interview with
you and some of the members of Sudo Room to get an idea of what
you are up to and to answer some of the questions from the wiki
and then film during the event in the background to see the
process working.
It'd be great if you could post to the list asking if anyone would
like to be interviewed! Are you subscribed? I can also ask if
you'd rather I just forward this email. Here is the link to
subscribe to the mailing list:

I for one would happily interview with you. Best time for me would
be after the sudo room meeting on Wednesday (I usually work until
6:30).
Thanks for your time, reach out to me anytime
anyway. -bunker
Thank you! Looking forward to working together and hearing more
about your vision for the film!
Cheers, Jenny
